i remember loving the dark chocolate peanut butter from NYC restaurant peanut butter & co. last year. i had picked up a jar at my grocery store in massachusetts and enjoyed it most in a crepe or with bananas.
but recently, when browsing the aisles at christmas tree shops, i saw a whole display from the company! none of the dark chocolate variety, but i snagged a jar of “the bee’s knees” flavor, which is honey and peanut butter.
all i can say is WOW! this is some of the best stuff i’ve ever tasted. while i won’t say it’s “healthy,” i did notice that it had slightly less fat and calories than regular peanut butter and the flavor is out of this world.
through the company’s website, the product is $6 a jar. i got it for $2.99, but the inventory at places like christmas tree shops can be so hit or miss. maybe i should go all out and buy 12 jars in bulk to bring the price down to $5.10 a pop ;)
i’m strongly considering making a pit stop at the restaurant next time i’m in the city!
