when i have this entire wing of the office to myself and leave the door open, i find that people come in for “eliz therapy sessions.” that’s fun. i like it. i should charge, though.

brother bear
this blonde brother-sister quartet, “shine” on america’s got talent, likes to sing happy and uplifting tunes. i saw four seconds of them and said “they’re a mormon bunch.” it made me miss jason a lot.
(even when they were booed, they were very smiley and happy. good for them.)

accidentally delicious!
today eliza and i wanted to have an impromptu cookie baking session. without much preparation or many ingredients, we went for australian honey cookies. after following the recipe, we were less than impressed with our dough, which just seemed like a bowl of flower and sugar. we then searched for a new recipe and kind of made a hybrid. in the oven, these “cookies” melded into one large cookie pan of dough. i promptly removed them, allowed them to cool and then cut them into rectangles with a pizza cutter. this may sound gross, but the results were FANTASTIC. so far we’ve gotten a four out of four on satisfaction from our customers. this is great, but we definitely would never be able to recreate them.
my suggestion is mix your favorite measurements of the following: flour, splenda, egg, butter, baking soda, honey and almonds.

…and say that ben mayer is the cutest of the three brothers. i’d need to see them all lined up in a row to determine if this is factual or not, though.
